Personalized cancer care in Chicago

Through our cancer care locations in downtown and Lake County, midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, City of Hope® is closing the care gap for patients in and around Chicago, northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. And we’re accelerating speed to specialized care, with immediate access to cancer prevention and screening, appointments in as little as 24 hours, with same-day diagnostics, rapid radiology results in 48 hours and pathology results in a week or less.

City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago offers world-class blood cancer care—powered by renowned oncologists like Tulio Rodriguez, MD, director of our Bone Marrow and Cellular Therapy Program, and City of Hope’s coast-to-coast clinical network, with one of the largest and most successful bone marrow transplantation (BMT) programs in the country.

Highly trained experts, including David J. Winchester, MD, FACS, a top-ranked surgical oncologist who has served patients in Illinois’ North Shore communities for three decades, proudly call City of Hope Chicago home. Together, they provide sophisticated, disease-specific surgical care—when and where you need it—from minimally invasive, robotic-assisted procedures to complex reconstructive and plastic surgeries.

Breast Cancer

"I am closer to living the way I want to live now. Work is less of a focus for me, and my beliefs are at the forefront of my mind. I have become very active in my church, and have a close group of friends with whom I share my faith. Before I had cancer, I was going through the motions of life too busy to stop and notice what was going on around me. But going through this time made me stop and slow down and re-prioritize."
