Why we are different

As a patient at CTCA Phoenix, whether treating at our hospital or at one of our Outpatient Care Centers, your treatment plan will be designed and coordinated by a multidisciplinary care team, led by a medical oncologist who will deliver a plan tailored to your needs and treatment goals. With new cancer treatments changing the course of care, deciding which treatment is right for you is critical. The members of your care team will dedicate time to answer your questions, manage your treatment and walk with you through your cancer journey—from your first appointment to your diagnostic tests, treatment visits and follow-up appointments. At CTCA Phoenix, our medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists and other clinicians treat patients with standard-of-care and state-of-the-art tools, while also supporting patients’ quality of life by providing supportive care therapies designed to manage side effects. This integrative approach is designed to help patients maintain the strength and stamina they need to continue treatment and get back to life. We may also offer clinical trials to qualified patients.

As part of our commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people we serve, we invest in the local communities we call home, partnering with and supporting a wide variety of organizations that help cancer patients and further cancer research. Learn how you can help by participating in one or more of these volunteer opportunities in the Phoenix area.

Patient-focused expert care

The doctors and clinicians at CTCA Phoenix are part of multidisciplinary, clinical care teams led by experts focused on cancer.

Our cancer experts dedicate their time and energy on a single mission—treating cancer patients. Each patient’s care team is led by a medical oncologist and coordinated by a care manager, who helps follow up on tests, keeps track of your appointments and addresses your concerns so you can make an educated decision about your treatment. This coordination helps your care team reach a diagnosis more efficiently and recommend a care plan tailored to you. Knowing that fighting cancer is only part of the battle, your center care team may also recommend various supportive care services to help you manage the side effects of cancer and its treatment.

Our CTCA Phoenix Breast Cancer Center and CTCA Phoenix Lung Cancer Center reflect our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art treatment options to patients fighting these complex diseases. By focusing on one cancer type, the experts at our CTCA Lung Cancer Center and CTCA Breast Cancer Center are better able to stay up to date on new and emerging treatments and technologies, so they can help you make more informed decisions about your care.

What is cancer?

Cancer is complex. It is not one disease, but many, each with its own set of characteristics, signs, symptoms, risk factors and treatment needs. No two cancers, like not two patients, are exactly alike. Learn more about how cancer forms, how the body changes when it develops and when it's treated here: What is cancer?
