Whether you’ve been recently diagnosed or you’re seeking a second opinion for cancer, our expertise, commitment to quality and speed to care come from working with cancer patients every day. Our doctors and clinicians treat all stages of cancer, collaborating with one another to develop personalized cancer treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

At any point in your cancer journey, call or chat with a member of our Illinois cancer care team to make an appointment to meet with an expert in hematologic oncologymedical oncology or radiation oncology. Appointments may be available in as little as 24 hours, with complete staging and workup often completed within one week.

City of Hope Cancer Care Downtown Chicago accepts Medicare plans and most Illinois Medicaid plans, and members of our oncology team speak Spanish.

Downtown Chicago cancer care: What to expect

Our Downtown Chicago cancer experts work together with you and your loved ones to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific cancer type and stage, while treating you as an individual, with your own hopes, needs and goals.

After contacting us for a consultation, you’ll meet with an oncologist to review your medical information and answer specific questions regarding your diagnosis. The oncologist will discuss whether additional tests or scans may be required, while walking you through the next steps in your treatment journey. 

Convenient treatment, close to home in Downtown Chicago

Located in the Streeterville neighborhood just off Michigan Avenue, City of Hope Cancer Care Downtown Chicago offers patients in and around Chicago convenient access to personalized cancer care and state-of-the-art technologies, such as the CyberKnife® radiosurgery system.

With our convenient location and extended hours, patients have the ability to reduce disruptions to their daily activities, treating close to home or work.

Directions and parking

Validated parking is available at the Cityfront Garage located at 240 E. Upper Illinois Street, Chicago, just east of our location. Public parking spots are located near the top of the garage.

Pedestrian elevators are in the southwest corner of the garage. Once you exit the garage, walk west on Illinois Street. The entrance to our location will be on your right.

The power of the City of Hope network: Advanced oncology services available at our Illinois cancer center

Our outpatient cancer care location in Downtown Chicago is part of our national network of cancer treatment hospitals providing personalized, supportive care to patients with cancer. Our location may be a convenient option for your onsite treatment options such as infusion therapy, including chemotherapy, hormone therapy and other intravenous and injectable treatments, as well as radiation therapy, including image-guided radiation therapy, which helps reduce the amount of radiation to healthy tissues.

If treatments such as surgery, stem cell transplantation, gynecologic oncology, diagnostics or clinical trials are required to support your personalized care plan, our Downtown team will collaborate with our cancer hospital in Zion, Illinois, to coordinate your care and provide these and other services.

City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago is staffed by a multidisciplinary team made up of experts who focus on one goal: curing cancer. Our team of surgeons is trained and experienced in a vast array of disciplines, including breast surgery, oncoplastic reconstruction, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and neurosurgery. Our hematologic oncology team has vast experience performing both autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR T-cell therapy.
