COVID-19 accommodations update: Learn about changes we made to our accommodations offerings to protect patients.

At Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), we understand how stressful, and expensive, traveling for cancer treatment can be. That’s why we’ve designed an accommodations program built around the Mother Standard® of care—helping you save money and worry and treating you like we’d want our own family treated.

When you arrive at our hospital, our experienced travel and accommodations staff will work to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you are visiting from out of town, a member of our team will work with you prior to your arrival to help arrange affordable lodging. For qualifying patients and caregivers visiting CTCA®, we offer accommodations in our own guest rooms, either on-site or close to the hospital.

If available, our on-site accommodations may be offered at reduced rates. These comfortable rooms come with a variety of amenities designed to make you feel at home. While we would like to accommodate all our patients in our on-site guest rooms, these rooms are typically reserved for patients with special needs and those undergoing special treatments, so availability is limited.

We also partner with hotels near our facilities to offer quality accommodations and service at negotiated rates. Some of our partner hotels also provide special gathering rooms just for our patients and their caregivers. Due to the limitations of federal law, however, we are not permitted to provide travel, lodging or transportation benefits to Medicare patients or other patients whose health care is paid for by government insurance.

Recognizing that the COVID pandemic has caused some patients to consider delaying or canceling their plans to travel for treatment, we’ve expanded our travel and accommodations benefits for qualified patients, to help make the trip as easy as possible. Check with the concierge or travel representative at your hospital for information on shuttle services and for help with any other travel or accommodation issues.

RV accommodations

Some CTCA hospitals offer accommodations for patients and their families traveling to these hospitals in a recreational vehicle. Guests who prefer to stay in their RV receive the customary amenities, including electricity, water and plumbing hook-ups for nightly fees. Check with your hospital before your arrival to ask about the availability of RV accommodations and nightly fees.
