Dr. Debora Fineman, Radiologist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Philadelphia, knows that the hardest part of a cancer diagnosis is often waiting for test results. “The lengths to which our staff goes to get these procedures taken care of is remarkable,” says Dr. Fineman. “That is part of our personalized approach to patient care.”

Dr. Fineman earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at John Carroll University. She completed her Medical Degree at Jefferson Medical College. Her postgraduate training included a transitional internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, a two-year residency in Nuclear Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a three-year residency in Radiology at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Since 1991, Dr. Fineman has worked as a radiologist at numerous hospitals in the Philadelphia area. She has also been an associate radiologist with several private practices in the region. She joined CTCA® in February 2014.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Fineman has conducted research on many aspects of radiology. Her work is published in several eminent journals, including Radiology, Clinical Nuclear Medicine and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.

Dr. Fineman is Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and in Nuclear Medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. She holds a medical license through the States of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

At CTCA, Dr. Fineman focuses on breast imaging. She conducts and interprets mammograms and ultrasounds, and performs breast biopsies when the imaging results are abnormal. She also interprets PET scans as well as nuclear medicine and general radiology images. She integrates the latest diagnostic approaches, such as 3D mammography, into her care, so that patients can receive test results as rapidly as possible.

"I have great respect for the skills and vision of my fellow clinicians here,” says Dr. Fineman. “It’s an honor to apply my training in this patient-centered environment."

Patient ratings and comments

Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
