- About Me
As a Physician Assistant at City of Hope Phoenix, Travis Campbell knows that how he thinks about his patients is just as important as the care he provides. “Here, patients aren’t treated like cases or numbers,” says Campbell. “They are treated as whole people.”
Campbell began his studies at Brigham Young University, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He holds a Master of Medical Science in Physician Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
After completing his training, Campbell served as Physician Assistant with a private practice focused on heart and lung surgery. Later, at a larger hospital, he provided first assistance on robotic, minimally invasive and open lung, esophageal and other thoracic surgery procedures.
Campbell joined City of Hope Phoenix in May 2016. He provides first assistance to surgeons during robotic, minimally invasive and open surgeries for a range of cancer types. He also works closely with patients before and after surgical procedures to address any needs that may arise.
Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the State of Arizona, Campbell is a Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Outside of City of Hope, Campbell enjoys running and skiing.
- Patient ratings
- Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
