“As an oncologist, my single, most important goal is stop the cancer,” says Dr. Kelly Manahan, Gynecologic Oncologist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA). “At the same time, I am also intensely focused on helping patients maintain the best possible quality of life during and after treatment.”

After pre-med undergraduate studies at Grace College, Dr. Manahan completed her Doctor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training included a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Medical College of Ohio, where she was named Chief Resident in 1998, and a Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan. She also spent one year focused exclusively on gynecologic oncology research at the University of Louisville. She was awarded the prestigious Galloway Fellowship in Gynecology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and was named Outstanding Resident during her training.

Dr. Manahan has an extensive range of clinical experience and has held numerous prestigious professorships since completing her training. Most recently she held the Rita T. Sheely Endowed Chair at that institution.

Alongside caring for patients and training new doctors, Dr. Manahan has remained dedicated to advancing the treatment of gynecologic malignancies through clinical trials. She has been a Principal Investigator with the federally funded Gynecologic Oncology Group since 2001, with a current roster of more than 15 clinical trials awarded. Patient Ratings
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible CTCA patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurance. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, CTCA.
