About Me

Ziad Khan, M.D., is passionate about forming strong, trusting relationships with his patients. Born and raised in Southern California, he attended medical school at Shifa College of Medicine in Islamabad, graduating at the top of his class. Soon after, he became both a physician and caregiver for his mother when she was diagnosed with brain cancer — an experience that deepened his compassion and understanding of patient care.

Dr. Khan completed his internship and residency at University of Texas Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center, followed by hematology and oncology fellowships at UC Irvine Medical Center. His research includes work in stem cell transplant and breast cancer, and he has presented at national medical conferences.

Now seeing patients at City of Hope’s® Colton location, Dr. Khan values the opportunity to provide world-class cancer care in a community setting, offering patients “excellent care close to home.”

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
