About Me

Yousef M. Janajreh, MD, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Specialist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he provides critical care for patients with a wide range of health issues and complications that may occur as a result of cancer or its treatments.

Dr. Janajreh is committed to offering a compassionate approach to care founded on medical expertise and an understanding of each patient’s unique situation. He works closely with patients facing issues such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, airway problems and adverse reactions to medications or therapies. Trained in advanced airway management, he is also dedicated to staying up to date with the constantly evolving field of critical care.

After earning his medical degree at the Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Janajreh started his residency in emergency medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City and completed it at the University of Arizona in Tuscon. Prior to joining City of Hope, he was a clinical instructor at the University of Arizona and a practicing emergency physician at several institutions across the state.

Dr. Janajreh is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association. He has published and presented on his work and research, served as president of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group during his time at the Commonwealth Medical School and participated in numerous projects focusing on community education, fundraising and outreach.

In addition to English, Dr. Janajreh speaks conversational Arabic. When not at work, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with his wife and daughter.
