Yasmin Zerhouni, M.D., is a board-certified colorectal surgeon who brings compassion, precision and the latest medical advances to her patients at City of Hope® locations in Arcadia, Duarte and South Pasadena.
In the Division of Colorectal Surgery, Dr. Zerhouni specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic techniques. She finds deep satisfaction in working with her hands to help patients regain their health and preserve their quality of life.
After earning her medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Zerhouni completed her general surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco, East Bay, and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. Her passion for advancing health equity has led her to conduct research around the globe — from studying tuberculosis in South Africa to expanding access to surgical care in the United States.
Dr. Zerhouni’s cancer research has been published widely in medical journals, and she has presented nationally on topics such as how the Affordable Care Act has impacted colorectal cancer screening. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Surgical Outcomes Club.
Board-certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Zerhouni is fluent in French and Spanish.
