Radiation Oncologist; Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology
Venita Williams, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where she is dedicated to ensuring her patients have access to the latest technological advancements and clinical research opportunities. Dr. Williams is passionate about integrative oncology, which incorporates evidence-based complementary approaches to care into her patients’ conventional treatment plans.
Dr. Williams has clinical expertise in treating brain tumors, head and neck cancers, sarcomas, lymphomas and malignancies of the breast, lung, gastrointestinal tract and gynecologic system. She is extensively trained in advanced technologies such as Optune (alternating electric field therapy) and Mobetron (intraoperative electron radiotherapy), as well as sophisticated linear accelerator systems for stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy.
After earning her medical degree from the University of Rochester in New York, Dr. Williams completed further training at Loma Linda University and the University of California, Irvine. Before joining City of Hope, she spent 10 years at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, where she helped educate patients through informational videos about radiation treatment options.
