Tanyanika Phillips, M.D., M.P.H., earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester and completed a geriatric fellowship along with a Master’s in Public Health at Vanderbilt University. She then trained in medical oncology through a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
Her passion is improving transparency in cancer research and care, especially for vulnerable groups. She focuses on helping patients who face challenges like limited access to healthcare, belonging to underrepresented communities, food or housing insecurity, lack of insurance, chronic illnesses or low understanding of cancer information.
Dr. Phillips cares for patients at City of Hope®’s Antelope Valley location and is committed to making a real difference in their lives. “I am dedicated to providing high-quality care for vulnerable adults with cancer,” she says. “Finding new ways to deliver care and supporting policies that improve services are essential for better outcomes.”
