Tanuja Bhandari, MD, is a radiation oncologist with almost 20 years of experience in her field. Dr. Bhandari treats patients with a wide range of cancer types at City of Hope® Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, with extensive experience in using brachytherapy, image-guided radiation therapy and intraoperative radiation therapy—an advanced technique that delivers a single, targeted dose of radiation during breast cancer surgery, often eliminating the need for multiple post-surgical treatments.
Dr. Bhandari earned her medical degree at the American University in Coral Gables, Florida, and completed her residency at Allegheny General Hospital, a Drexel University affiliate and home to the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Before her residency, Dr. Bhandari pursued an internal medicine internship at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate location. In addition to her clinical training, she holds an MBA in healthcare management from the University of California, Irvine.
