About Me

Syed Rahmanuddin, MBBS, MBA, is an assistant research professor of diagnostic radiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where his research agenda focuses on investigating and developing innovative radiologic imaging technologies for early cancer detection.

Dr. Rahmanuddin’s work explores the use of 3-D imaging across ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance modalities. The shift from conventional 2-D to 3-D imaging has unveiled critical hidden details that enhance the ability to diagnose and treat disease, particularly in oncology. By leveraging advanced 3-D imaging tools, Dr. Rahmanuddin analyzes radiologic data at the pixel level to not only identify disease but also help clinicians predict patient outcomes.

“This field is expanding rapidly. I believe 3-D radiology represents the future of medical imaging,” he says. “My objective is to discover additional imaging biomarkers that can enable earlier detection of tumors throughout the body.”

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
