About Me

Susan Cha, M.D., is an expert in medical imaging at City of Hope® in Duarte, CA, with special training in both radiology and nuclear medicine. She is highly skilled in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, which is often used to detect and monitor cancer. Her goal is to provide accurate, detailed imaging results that help care teams choose optimal treatment plans for patients. 

Dr. Cha graduated from Cornell University with honors before earning her medical degree at Penn State University, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital, her residency in diagnostic radiology at Thomas Jefferson University, and advanced fellowship training in nuclear medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She is a diplomate board of both the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. 

Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Cha served as radiology medical director of several cancer programs in Northern California, where she played a key role in advancing patient care through innovative imaging services.
