Dr. Stefanie Mooney is a board-certified physician in family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for patients and families at City of Hope® Cancer Center in Duarte, California. She earned her undergraduate degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, then completed her medical degree at the University of California, Irvine. She went on to complete her family medicine residency and a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center.
At City of Hope, Dr. Mooney serves on the core faculty for the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship, mentors pharmacy residents and works to improve care coordination as Quality Chair for the Department of Supportive Care Medicine. She also helps optimize the EPIC electronic medical record system as a ConnectHope Liaison, enhancing communication and workflow efficiency.
Dr. Mooney is an active member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer and the American Medical Informatics Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, neighborhood walks, horror movies and spending time with her family.
