About Me

Dr. Shravan Shrestha joined City of Hope Phoenix as an Internist in September 2022, providing care in the Evaluation and Treatment Clinic. In his role, he works closely with a multidisciplinary team to a deliver comprehensive, personalized treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Shrestha came to City of Hope with nearly three decades of experience in internal medicine as a hospitalist, working with adult and elderly patients with chronic illnesses. He has presented and published on topics related to infectious diseases and cancers of the esophagus and stomach.

“I aim is to work with oncology specialists take care of our patients and to address any non-oncology issues that may arise during the course of their treatment at City of Hope,” says Dr. Shrestha. “This will help give our patients the quality of life they need and deserve, and help them get back to their lives.”

After earning his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in Dhaka Bangladesh, Dr. Shrestha went on to get his Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. He later completed an internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital at University of Missouri-Columbia in St. Louis Missouri.

Dr. Shrestha, who is board certified internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, was encouraged by his parents to pursue a medical career and always liked the idea of caring for patients and advocating for their health.

He and his wife, Sagun Shrestha, a Medical Oncologist at City of Hope Phoenix, are empty nesters with one son in medical school and the other in college, so they decided to relocate from Tulsa to Phoenix in 2022. Outside of City of Hope, Dr. Shrestha enjoys staying active by hiking and, more recently, playing pickleball.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
