M.D.
Hematologist-Oncologist
Scott Goldsmith, M.D., is a hematologist-oncologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating blood cancers including multiple myeloma at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Goldsmith is also passionate about developing better therapies to treat the disease through conducting clinical trials and other research projects that bring lab discoveries into the clinic patient care.
Dr. Goldsmith’s decision to become a doctor was shaped by his own experience receiving medical care as a teenager—and it continues to shape his approach to this day, focusing on listening closely to his patients, educating them about their treatment options and crafting personalized treatment plans based on their individual wishes and diagnoses.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Goldsmith graduated with honors from the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville and earned his medical degree from the UF College of Medicine. He completed his medical training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, both in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Goldsmith takes great pride in building strong, trusting relationships with his patients. He’s committed to improving outcomes for people with multiple myeloma—whether at the bedside, in the lab, or across the broader medical community.
