Scott Glaser, MD, is an associate professor and the chief of brachytherapy and gynecological radiotherapy at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Glaser’s expertise includes using advanced techniques such as high-dose rate brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity modulated radiation therapy to treat diseases including breast, prostate and gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Glaser earned his bachelor’s degree at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, before attending Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago for his medical degree. He went on to complete an internship at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Pittsburgh.
An active researcher and leader in his specialty, Dr. Glaser has published more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been recognized with numerous national and international awards. At City of Hope, he directs studies aimed at improving treatment for gynecologic, breast and prostate cancers. He is a member of organizations including the American Society for Radiation Oncology, American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society. He also contributes as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals, serves on the editorial board of Brachytherapy, and is part of the NRG Oncology Core Committee for Cervical Cancer. Since 2019, he has been named among Los Angeles Magazine’s “Top Doctors.”
