Hematologist-Oncologist
Sarah Lee, M.D., has always been drawn to medicine by a deep desire to care for others. As a hematologist-oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, Dr. Lee helps diagnose and treat blood disorders, with particular expertise in multiple myeloma. She is dedicated to a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to cancer care, making it a priority to understand each patient’s goals and help guide them through their care with clarity and compassion.
Dr. Lee focuses on the treatment of plasma-cell disorders, including multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Prior to joining City of Hope in 2023, she was a faculty member at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. She has authored or co-authored a dozen peer-reviewed publications and served as the site principal investigator for seven clinical trials. Before beginning medical school, she gained valuable experience as a clinical research coordinator in oncology. Throughout her training, she has earned several distinctions, including a Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Conquer Cancer Foundation and a chief fellowship role in quality improvement at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lee enjoys outdoor adventures with her two rescue dogs and spending time with loved ones.
