About Me

Sarah Lee, M.D., has always been drawn to medicine by a deep desire to care for others. As a hematologist-oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, Dr. Lee helps diagnose and treat blood disorders, with particular expertise in multiple myeloma. She is dedicated to a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to cancer care, making it a priority to understand each patient’s goals and help guide them through their care with clarity and compassion.

Dr. Lee focuses on the treatment of plasma-cell disorders, including multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Prior to joining City of Hope in 2023, she was a faculty member at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. She has authored or co-authored a dozen peer-reviewed publications and served as the site principal investigator for seven clinical trials. Before beginning medical school, she gained valuable experience as a clinical research coordinator in oncology. Throughout her training, she has earned several distinctions, including a Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Conquer Cancer Foundation and a chief fellowship role in quality improvement at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lee enjoys outdoor adventures with her two rescue dogs and spending time with loved ones.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
