Medical Oncologist and Hematologist
Samuel W. Chung, M.D., is a medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he focuses on diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of cancer types.
Dr. Chung earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, Riverside, then pursued his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, also in California. He began his internal medicine residency in 2003 at Roger Williams Medical Center, affiliated with Boston University, and was appointed during time as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology through the UCLA-Olive View Program in Sylmar, California.
Dr. Chung joined City of Hope in 2012. Before that, he practiced at Wilshire Oncology Medical Group in Pasadena, California. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, and is an active member of several professional medical organizations.
