Sameer Sandhu, MD, serves as an assistant clinical professor of diagnostic radiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. With a subspecialty in abdominal imaging, Dr. Sandhu plays a key role in supporting each patient’s multidisciplinary care team by offering precise and timely diagnosis. This support ensures that patients receive personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique preferences and health goals.
Dr. Sandhu earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, Delaware, and went on to pursue a fellowship in abdominal imaging at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Sandhu was an assistant professor of radiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where he also served as assistant program director for the abdominal imaging fellowship.
An active contributor to scholarship in his field, Dr. Sandhu has presented at national conferences run by organizations including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Abdominal Radiology. His research has been published in leading journals including Clinical Radiology and JAMA Surgery.
