Inspired by both science and compassion, Ryan Jackson, M.D., Ph.D., M.Eng., is dedicated to helping his patients at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte through careful problem-solving and a deep respect for each individual he treats.
Dr. Jackson completed his medical degree, residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and fellowship in transfusion medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. He later completed his postdoctoral fellowship at City of Hope in hematopathology — the study of diseases of the blood and related tissues. A Southern California native, he also earned multiple degrees from Harvey Mudd College.
At City of Hope, Dr. Jackson specializes in hematology and pathology and is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, blood banking and transfusion medicine and hematopathology. Known for his honesty and kindness, he takes pride in providing clear, compassionate patient care.
Outside of work, Dr. Jackson enjoys music — he once played percussion in the Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble — and is an avid runner who has completed several San Francisco Marathons.
