About Me

Rusha Bhandari, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist who specializes in survivorship care. She provides long-term follow-up and personalized screenings to support childhood cancer survivors after treatment is complete. 

Dr. Bhandari earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University, completed pediatric training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine and a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. During her fellowship, she also earned a Master of Science in Clinical, Biomedical and Translational Investigations from the University of Southern California. 

Her research is focused on reducing the side effects of cancer therapies and improving the long-term health and outcomes of survivors. She values the compassionate, personalized care and leading-edge research that benefit patients every day at City of Hope®

Outside of work, Dr. Bhandari enjoys baking, yoga, traveling, playing board games and spending time with her family.
