About Me

Rizvan Mirza, M.D., serves patients at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte as a board-certified radiologist with special expertise in abdominal imaging. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Duke University and his medical degree from Rutgers University in 2001. After completing a transitional internship at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware, he trained in diagnostic radiology at Columbia University – St. Luke’s –Roosevelt, followed by a fellowship in abdominal imaging at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Mirza’s medical interests include body CT and MRI as well as MRI-guided prostate biopsy. He is an active member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America, has published several scientific articles and has presented his work at national conferences.
