Ricardo Spielberger, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with advanced training in stem cell transplantation. He is proud to be part of the City of Hope®/Kaiser Bone Marrow Transplantation Team, where he works closely with a dedicated group of specialists to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.
Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Spielberger earned his medical degree there before moving to Dallas to complete his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He continued his training in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Chicago and later completed a transplant fellowship in Southern California.
Dr. Spielberger believes in caring for the whole person — not just their disease. He understands that bone marrow and stem cell transplants affect both physical and emotional health and is honored to guide patients through their treatment journey.
Outside of work, Dr. Spielberger enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and exploring Southern California’s diverse communities and culture.
