Reza Mostofi, M.D., was drawn to medicine by a love of physiology and a fervent desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Now, as a medical oncologist at City of Hope® South Bay, he brings years of experience and a compassionate, personalized approach to patient care.
Originally from Iran, Dr. Mostofi grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied biological sciences with a focus on neuroscience, physiology and behavior at the University of California Davis, then went on to earn his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his oncology fellowship in hematology and oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he also served as chief fellow.
Dr. Mostofi has more than a decade of experience treating cancer and previously taught as an assistant professor at Temple University School of Medicine while at Crozer Regional Cancer Center, a Fox Chase Cancer Center affiliate. While he treats many types of cancer, he has a special interest in multiple myeloma, as well as lung, colon and breast cancers.
