About Me

Pritiben Patel, M.D., M.B.A., is dedicated to caring for both her patients and her community. She regularly volunteers at local health fairs, offering her time and medical skills to those in need. Recognized as a “Top Doctor” by the International Association of Health Care Professionals, Dr. Patel’s mission is “to change the nature of medicine” by expanding access to medical care and improving health for people everywhere.

A Southern California native, Dr. Patel knew from an early age that she wanted to become a doctor. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed her training at St. Luke’s University Health Network in New Jersey. She has special expertise in pain management, including the use of biofeedback to help patients manage symptoms.

Dr. Patel chose to join City of Hope® because its values of excellence, compassion and integrity match her own. She describes it as “more than just a hospital — it is a community that supports the body, mind and soul.”

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
