About Me

Percy Lee, M.D., is a professor of radiation oncology at City of Hope, where he also serves as vice chair of clinical research in the Department of Radiation Oncology and medical director of Orange County and Coastal Region Radiation Oncology. A compassionate physician with nationally renowned expertise in his field, Dr. Lee takes a team approach to cancer care, working closely with other specialists to create a treatment plan that's personalized to each patient’s medical history, emotional wellbeing and unique diagnosis.

Dr. Lee graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School’s Health Sciences and Technology program, a collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his training, he was also a research fellow with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where he studied how tumors use blood vessel growth to spread. He went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a radiation oncology residency at Stanford University in California, where he also served as chief resident.

In the clinic, Dr. Lee specializes in treating cancers of the lung and gastrointestinal tract. As medical director of radiation oncology for City of Hope® Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and vice chair for clinical research in the Department of Radiation Oncology, he focuses on expanding access to advanced radiation treatments and research for patients across Southern California.

Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Lee held leadership roles at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he helped shape clinical and research priorities, and at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he led programs in stereotactic body radiation therapy and MRI-guided radiation therapy.

Fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Lee is proud to care for patients in his native Southern California. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as playing basketball with friends.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
