About Me

Paul L. Menzel, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist whose career has taken him from busy New York emergency rooms to research centers in Sweden and clinics in Nigeria.

Dr. Menzel’s expertise ranges from treating cancers to benign conditions with advanced radiation technologies and treatment methods, including Gamma Knife, CyberKnife, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy/ablative radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, 3D conformal radiation therapy and brachytherapy. 

A Minnesota native, Dr. Menzel trained and practiced across the United States and abroad before completing his residency in California, where he is now proud to serve as a faculty member at City of Hope®. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Menzel is an active researcher with more than a dozen published papers and presentations. His current studies explore innovative treatment approaches for prostate cancer.
