Podiatric surgeon Paul Han, D.P.M., M.S., is board-certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics. He joined City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte in 2010, where he serves in the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism and in the Division of Surgical Oncology.
With a private practice in Orange County since 1985, Dr. Han is also chairman of the Department of Surgery at South Coast Global Medical Center. He specializes in preventing and treating diabetic foot complications, with expertise in limb preservation. He leads City of Hope’s diabetic foot program and teaches endocrinology fellows about foot health in diabetes.
Dr. Han’s expertise dates back to 1991, when he was chief of Podiatric Surgery and director of the Podiatric Residency Program at the Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles, where he created the Diabetic Amputation Prevention Program for veterans. He has trained more than 500 healthcare professionals, authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and lectured nationwide on diabetic foot care and complications.
