Olga Danilova, MD, PhD, is an associate clinical professor of pathology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where she works at the intersection of research and clinical care to improve patients’ treatment efficacy and quality of life.
Dr. Danilova earned her medical degree from Yaroslavl Medical Academy in her home country of Russia, where she also completed advanced graduate training in pharmacology. In 2003, she joined the molecular pathology laboratory at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where she developed a strong research focus on lymphoid cancers. Her work centers on identifying prognostic markers and developing new therapies for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoma, with a particular commitment to translating laboratory discoveries into clinical care.
Dr. Danilova continued her clinical training at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, followed by a fellowship in hematopathology. From 2014 to 2020, she practiced as a hematopathologist and medical director of hematology and transfusion services at the Portland VA Health Care System in Oregon, during which time her research led to numerous collaborative publications, as well as contributions to educational book chapters and review articles.
