Nocturnist; Assistant Clinical Professor of Hospital Medicine
Niroshan Kirupananthan, M.D., is a nocturnist and assistant professor of hospital medicine at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he finds great fulfillment in improving quality of life for his patients. Guided by the belief that every patient should be treated like family, he is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those he cares for and their loved ones.
Dr. Kirupananthan earned his medical degree from Saint James School of Medicine in the Caribbean, then completed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Kirupananthan served as a hospitalist with Monarch Healthcare in Orange County and as a hospitalist at Dupont Hospital and site medical director at Saint Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has also participated in medical missions to Haiti, where he provided care to underserved populations while gaining valuable experience diagnosing and managing rare conditions not often seen in North America.
Fluent in Tamil, Dr. Kirupananthan enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his family.
