Plastic Surgeon
Mouchammed Agko, M.D., is a plastic surgeon who helps cancer survivors move forward by reducing or removing visible reminders of their cancer or its treatment. He is a nationally recognized expert in a variety of areas, including breast reconstruction, lymphedema treatment and cosmetic procedures that are designed to improve appearance, comfort and confidence in patients who have undergone cancer.
Dr. Agko has completed advanced training programs in a wide range of fields, such as aesthetic surgery, reconstructive microsurgery and lymphedema procedures. He performs a wide range of breast reconstruction surgeries using implants or natural tissue, as well as reconstructive surgeries for the head and neck, limbs and the torso. He also treats both lymphedema and lipedema. While training in general surgery at the University of Toledo in Ohio, he earned the iCare Shining Star award for outstanding patient care, communication and respect. He also held a clinical practice and an academic appointment at Augusta University in Georgia.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Agko is also a physician-scholar with more than 50 published studies in leading medical journals. His work includes a widely recognized 2018 study on a new surgical approach for lymphedema that was highlighted by a top cancer journal. He continues to focus on advancing the field so patients can benefit from the latest techniques and innovations.
