Mihae Song, M.D., brings both deep compassion and extensive global experience to her role as a gynecologic oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Song has delivered free medical care to expectant mothers in Pakistan, supported children with disabilities in South Korea and taught future physicians the fundamentals of surgical care. Throughout her career, she has earned numerous accolades recognizing her clinical and teaching excellence and she believes it is a privilege to work closely with women facing a wide range of gynecologic cancers.
Fluent in both English and Korean, Dr. Song is deeply committed to women’s health. She specializes in both advanced abdominal surgeries and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, tailoring care to meet each patient’s unique needs. Her passion for cancer care led her to City of Hope, where she works on advanced clinical trials that help bring groundbreaking therapies from the research lab to the clinic.
Dr. Song received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York and her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She completed additional training with fellowships in health equity leadership and gynecologic oncology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
