Matthew G. Mei, M.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he provides compassionate, individualized care for patients with lymphoma and other blood disorders. He also specializes in stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy, using leading-edge treatments to improve outcomes and quality of life.
Dr. Mei earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He then trained in hematology-oncology at City of Hope.
Known for building strong relationships with his patients, Dr. Mei works closely with them and their loved ones to help navigate their cancer treatment journey. He is also active in the research lab and leads clinical trials focused on advancing therapies for lymphoma and transplant medicine. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he serves as program director for City of Hope’s hematology/oncology fellowship, helping train the next generation of blood cancers specialists.
