Medical Oncologist
Mary Cianfrocca, D.O., M.B.A., has dedicated her career to breast cancer care and research, with a passion for finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. She brings more than 20 years of experience to City of Hope®, where she serves as senior medical director of community practices.
A seasoned expert in breast cancer treatment and clinical research, Dr. Cianfrocca works closely with her patients at City of Hope locations in Duarte and Antelope Valley to provide optimal care while also exploring new options like targeted therapies and immunotherapy.
She earned her medical degree at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and trained at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and Northwestern University. In addition, she holds an M.B.A. from Arizona State University.
Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Cianfrocca held leadership roles for nearly a decade at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Arizona. She is also active in raising awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection and regularly engages with the media as a subject matter expert.
She strongly believes in City of Hope’s team-based approach, where doctors and specialists collaborate to deliver the most advanced and compassionate care to patients and their families.
