M.D.
Medical Oncologist and Hematologist
Lydia Chow, M.D., is a medical oncologist at City of Hope® West Covina, where she supports patients through every step of their cancer journey. She was drawn to the field of oncology during her undergraduate studies because of her deep interest in cancer science — and has been dedicated to patient care ever since. Dr. Chow collaborates closely with each person she treats, serving as both a guide and an advocate as they navigate their cancer journey.
She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, then completed an internship and residency at the University of Southern California (USC). She stayed at USC, completing a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she served as chief fellow and contributed to numerous studies and clinical trials.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Chow has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles on conditions such as castration-resistant prostate cancer and acute myeloid leukemia.
