About Me

Lefan Zhuang, MD, serves as an associate clinical professor of transfusion medicine in the Department of Pathology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. She is also the medical director of the institution’s Blood Donor Center.

Dr. Zhuang earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, Irvine, where she also served as chief resident. She then pursued fellowship training in transfusion medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Board-certified in transfusion medicine, anatomic pathology and clinical pathology, Dr. Zhang brings extensive expertise to her role in advancing patient care and supporting City of Hope’s mission through excellence in blood and transfusion services.
