Medical Oncologist
Lee Cranmer, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P., serves as professor and vice chair of medical oncology and therapeutics research and as section chief of sarcoma medical oncology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. With extensive experience and a steady, compassionate approach, Dr. Cranmer is committed to guiding patients through every step of their cancer journey.
A respected clinician and educator, Dr. Cranmer earned his medical degree and doctorate through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of California, San Diego. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a medical oncology fellowship at the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson. Dr. Cranmer spent 15 years at that institution, where he cared for patients with sarcoma and skin cancers, before going on to direct the Sarcoma Program at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle.
Dr. Cranmer is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and has held academic appointments at several prominent institutions across the American West. He has served as principal investigator on more than 30 clinical trials and has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, contributing to national advancements in cancer research and care.
