Krystal Sears joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) Atlanta in October 2017. As a nurse practitioner, she is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on managing individualized treatment plans for cancer patients. The team approach at CTCA® is designed to put patients at the center of their care, treating the disease and managing symptoms and side effects.

At CTCA, Sears works primarily with breast cancer patients. She is responsible for continuity of care, throughout diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Her education and experience have prepared Sears to helps patients as they navigate the complexities of understanding their diagnosis and treatment options.

” My goal for my patients is to work with them throughout the treatment journey and to help them regain their baseline functional status prior to cancer diagnosis.,” says Sears. “Patients at CTCA benefit greatly from the whole-person care provided.”

Sears graduated from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She obtained a Master of Science degree in nursing from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Sears also completed a post-master’s certificate at Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama. Sears has worked in various health care settings prior to joining CTCA.

Outside of CTCA, Sears is a proud mother of two adult children. She enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music, and cheering on Alabama football.
Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
