Head and Neck Surgeon
Krupal Patel, M.D., M.Sc., is an assistant clinical professor of head and neck surgery and an otolaryngologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he works with patients with head and neck cancer, as well as parathyroid and thyroid disorders.
Dr. Patel is a skilled and experienced surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive procedures such as transoral robotic surgery and microvascular reconstructive surgery. His research focuses on patient outcomes, the benefits of virtual health care options and the use of genomic analysis biomarkers to predict how certain therapies may impact a patient’s quality of life.
After receiving his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine, Dr. Patel pursued a residency and master’s degree in head and neck surgery at Western University in London, Ontario, followed by a microvascular reconstructive surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He is a member of organizations including the American Head and Neck Society and the North American Skull Base Society.
