About Me

Kourosh Golestany, M.D., is a hospital medicine specialist who feels honored to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients. At City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, he takes a personal, whole-person approach to care, looking beyond medical conditions to understand each patient’s individual needs and concerns.

“When a patient shares their deepest worries and hopes for healing, I feel truly honored to be trusted in that way.”

Dr. Golestany earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran and practiced medicine there for nearly a decade before continuing his training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He later served as a hospitalist in Columbus, Ohio, and at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California.

Now proudly part of the City of Hope family, Dr. Golestany is inspired by a spirit of innovation, collaboration and compassionate care — and is committed to helping patients through some of their most vulnerable moments.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
