About Me

Keng Lam, M.D., is a medical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he specializes in providing leading-edge care for patients with brain and central nervous system tumors, including glioma and glioblastoma. 

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Lam is a neuro-oncologist who emphasizes empathy, clear communication and partnership in his approach to care. He sees his role as both medical expert and guide, helping patients navigate complex treatment decisions with confidence. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, then completed a neurology residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. He completed advanced fellowship training in neuro-oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. 

Dr. Lam has contributed to peer-reviewed publications on a range of topics, including IDH-mutant astrocytoma and leptomeningeal metastases. He is multilingual, speaking fluent Spanish and Cantonese, as well as conversational Mandarin.
