Dr. Yap is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of cancer care in the rapidly evolving field of medical oncology. She is enthusiastic about offering the latest personalized treatments, always aiming to find the right balance between effectiveness and quality of life. Building strong, supportive relationships with her patients is at the heart of her approach, as she helps them navigate the complexity of cancer care.
Dr. Yap earned her medical degree from Queen’s University of Belfast. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at LAC+USC Medical Center in Southern California.
Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Yap was an assistant professor at Keck School of Medicine USC. She is board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.
