About Me

At City of Hope in Atlanta, Georgia, Jason Rigdon serves patients with all types and stages of cancer. Rigdon joined City of Hope in 2016 as a Registered Nurse, and in 2019, he completed his studies and became a certified Nurse Practitioner.

Rigdon works on a multidisciplinary team to provide care and treatment to patients. He gets to know his patients and their families because he cares for them throughout their treatment journey. Rigdon actively monitors patients during follow-up visits, working closely with a team of doctors and clinicians.

“I am personally committed to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care,” says Rigdon. “I listen to my patients and help coordinate whole-person care, including supportive services that may be needed to address side effects or symptoms.”

Rigdon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in nursing from Herzing University in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and obtained a post-graduate certificate as a nurse practitioner. Rigdon has over 20 years of experience in critical care, emergency medicine and oncology as a registered nurse.

Outside of City of Hope, Rigdon likes spending time with friends and family. Rigdon and his wife have three children who keep them busy. He also enjoys being outdoors.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
