About Me

Dr. Henry Krebs brings to City of Hope more than 30 years of experience performing interventional radiology procedures. He joined City of Hope Atlanta in September 2012.

At City of Hope, Dr. Krebs' expertise is in image-guided procedures including catheter and needle-based therapies—such as microwave tumor ablation, cryotherapy, chemoembolization and radioembolization—to treat tumors throughout the body.

Dr. Krebs' goal is to provide patients with advanced treatments with fewer possible side effects: “I enjoy getting to know patients and their families, and helping them understand the high-tech therapies we use to treat cancer.”

Dr. Krebs' practice focuses on liver-directed therapy for both primary and metastatic tumors that have spread to the liver, along with diagnostic evaluation of breast cancer.

Dr. Krebs earned his Doctor of Medicine from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, in 1981. His residency in diagnostic radiology was at the University of Texas in San Antonio from 1981 to 1985. Dr. Krebs served as the Chief Resident between 1984 and 1985.

After his residency, Dr. Krebs had a one-year fellowship in angiography and interventional radiology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He began his career as an interventional radiologist in 1986.

Dr. Krebs is certified in diagnostic radiology, as well as vascular and interventional radiology, both through the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Interventional Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

In his free time, Dr. Krebs enjoys traveling and photography. He also is a car enthusiast and vintage watch collector. Dr. Krebs is married and has a daughter.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
