George Hajjar, M.D., FACP, always dreamed of becoming a doctor. That dream became even more personal when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching her journey inspired him to specialize in medical oncology and taught him the power of compassion in medicine. For Dr. Hajjar, City of Hope® is “the place where I belong.”
He earned his medical degree from Aleppo University in Syria and completed his training at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Hajjar cared for patients in Porterville, California, for more than 10 years at the Sierra View Cancer Treatment Center.
Today, Dr. Hajjar serves as the regional medical director for City of Hope locations in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and Ventura County. He sees patients with hematology and general medical oncology needs at the Santa Clarita clinic.
