Geoffrey Shouse, D.O., Ph.D., is a hematologist-oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he also serves as an assistant professor of lymphoma.
Drawn to pursue a career in hematology and oncology by an early interest in molecular biology, Dr. Shouse went on to earn a doctorate in cell, molecular and developmental biology from the University of California, Riverside, followed by a medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. His postgraduate training included a residency and fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California and an advanced fellowship in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy at City of Hope.
Dr. Shouse’s research is centered on finding new therapies that may lead to a cure for lymphoma. He serves as principal investigator on several clinical trials exploring innovative approaches to treatment, including cellular therapies, molecularly targeted drugs and immunotherapy. He also leads studies aimed at improving treatment outcomes for older patients, who may be more vulnerable to the side effects of lymphoma treatment. Additionally, he is dedicated to developing clinical trials that expand access and increase participation among underrepresented populations.
Known for his deep commitment to patient care, Dr. Shouse is a valued and integral part of the City of Hope team and a compassionate, patient clinical provider.
