About Me

In November 2019, Dr. Frankie White joined City of Hope in Atlanta, Georgia. As a hospitalist at City of Hope, Dr. White evaluates and treats patients with all types and stages of cancer. His responsibilities include coordinating patient care, implementing the treatment plan and monitoring progress.

Dr. White collaborates with a team of doctors and clinicians to provide whole-person, patient-centered care for patients. He works closely with patients to address medical issues that may result from cancer or treatment. Dr. White’s main goal is to help patients transition out of the hospital.

Dr. White strives to help patients and caregivers stay well-informed throughout their journey. “I believe it is invaluable for patients to get the time and attention they deserve from their doctors,” says Dr. White. “I take as much time as needed to explain everything and answer questions my patients may have.”

Dr. White received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He earned a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, then completed a family medicine residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

Board certified in family practice, Dr. White has worked in a variety of health care settings since 2016. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Cancer Society and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. White enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also likes playing the piano and bass guitar.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
