About Me

In November 2019, Dr. Frankie White joined City of Hope in Atlanta, Georgia. As a hospitalist at City of Hope, Dr. White evaluates and treats patients with all types and stages of cancer. His responsibilities include coordinating patient care, implementing the treatment plan and monitoring progress.

Dr. White collaborates with a team of doctors and clinicians to provide whole-person, patient-centered care for patients. He works closely with patients to address medical issues that may result from cancer or treatment. Dr. White's main goal is to help patients transition out of the hospital.

Dr. White strives to help patients and caregivers stay well-informed throughout their journey. “I believe it is invaluable for patients to get the time and attention they deserve from their doctors,” says Dr. White. “I take as much time as needed to explain everything and answer questions my patients may have.”

Dr. White received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He earned a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, then completed a family medicine residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

Board certified in family practice, Dr. White has worked in a variety of health care settings since 2016. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Cancer Society and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. White enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also likes playing the piano and bass guitar.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
